About TLC

TLC, Teacher’s Lesson Creator, turns a topic, a grade and a class length into a complete lesson: the plan, the student handout, the answer key, a rubric, supports for different learners, and the sources behind the facts. It’s free for teachers.

Two AI teaching assistants build each lesson. Hunter handles structure, timing and assessment. Christinehandles the hook, the depth and the student materials. Then they check each other’s work. The AI behind them is Claude, made by Anthropic.

TLC drafts; you teach. Read every lesson, edit anything, and check the answer key against your own knowledge before you use it with students.

How sources work

If you upload or paste your own material, TLC builds from it first. Otherwise, and to fill gaps, the assistants search the web and prefer government, university, museum and other primary sources. Every page they relied on is listed on the lesson. If they couldn’t find a trustworthy source for something, they’re told to say so rather than guess.

Privacy

  • Your accountis your email address and an optional display name. That’s all we keep about you. We don’t use trackers or sell anything.
  • Your lessons are private to you and stay until you delete them. You can delete any lesson, or your whole account, whenever you like.
  • The free library only contains lessons that a teacher chose to share and a reviewer approved. Your uploaded material is never published.
  • Anthropicprocesses what you type and upload in order to write your lesson, and runs the web searches. How it handles that data is covered by Anthropic’s own terms and privacy policy for API customers; please read them if your school asks.
  • Please don’t enter student names, grades or records, in the form or in anything you upload. TLC is a planning tool; it isn’t built or reviewed for student records, and we make no claim that it satisfies FERPA, COPPA or any district policy. Check your own district’s rules.
  • To stop abuse we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for rate limits. We never store the address itself.

For schools and districts

Would your school like TLC running on its own servers, so nothing leaves your network, with your own standards and curriculum built in? We can probably work something out. Get in touch and tell us what you have in mind.
